Breakfast and very early (for us) dinner. We snacked on brownies, green grapes and turkey meat through the middle of the day so we’re calling it all good. Day 15 of the 24 Day Challenge was super simple in all areas and is now done! Sautéed onions and red bell peppers with eggs, bacon and turkey for breakfast. Left over pork chops and a delightful kale/Brussels sprouts /cranberry/something/something salad mix from Costco for dinner. There’s enough for one more meal for at least three of us tomorrow. And speaking of tomorrow…Matt has the crockpot set up to start a pork roast with carrots and onions as we head to bed. So we saw this Buzz Feed video where they were eating fruit differently than how we think to eat it. One of the items was a kiwi. Now I love kiwis but peeling them is a pain in the rumpus so when we saw them eat them without perking first…and liking it…Alyx and I thought we needed to try it out. Day 10 is off to a great start! Personal training done, conversation with one kid (the other is still asleep) and plans for the day down on paper. Old school. In the way of the 24 Day Challenge, everything started with probiotics and Cataylst (amino acid blend) which is followed later by fiber drink and an excellent breakfast made by the Man @m4munson! Day 9 of my 24 Day Challenge went a little sideways. I left the house at 7:30, got home by 11:40 but still had another hour before I could head inside to eat…breakfast. Yes, breakfast after noon. So probiotics when I got up but fiber drink didn’t happen until about 12:45 with half a small grapefruit and about 30 minutes later the last of the meat sauce from last week. Dinner was spicy chicken (I’ll get the recipe posted, Shannan!), string beans and a small-ish salad. No my food wasn’t evenly spaced out over the course of the day. Did I get it all done? Yes. Did I have issues with energy today due to this unplanned intermittent fasting? Nope. No dragging, no cloudy thinking. I was firing on all cylinders. A Spark in the morning (Green Apple) and a Spark in the afternoon (Pink Lemonade) plus clean eating and all is rocking! Tomorrow starts considerably earlier so there’s no telling when I’ll eat breakfast but it’s all good! The finish of Day 8 of our AdvoCare 24 Day Challenge was crockpot roast with sweet potatoes and onions. Matt prepped the veggies on Sunday, Alyx set the whole thing up in the crockpot Monday morning. Dinner was ready when I got home. 4 of us ate and there are left overs for lunches. The start of day 3 of our 24 Day Challenge. Probiotics upon waking, fiber drink just before breakfast and then there’s this. Matt makes eggs for the four of us in one big pan then divvies up based on the person. Our girls are full grown adult size with one wanting to maintain and one needing to put some weight on. My goal is to lean up a bit but more importantly to get much cleaner in my diet as I’ve let things slide too much during stress. I get approx. 2.5 eggs with today’s being made with pico de gallo from last night’s dinner and a quarter of an apple. So here is my full day 2 food. I had things to do this morning and the girls were up to their eyeballs in school by the time I got home from work so we did a meal replacement shake which consisted of 2 chocolate meal replacement shake packs, 1 Tbsp almond butter, 1/2 C coconut milk and ice. Fast and easy!
Lunch was left overs from last night’s dinner – chicken breast and cauliflower plus some garlic and chipotle mashed sweet potatoes from Sunday’s dinner.
Dinner was home created chicken tacos with corn tortillas, rotisserie chicken meat, guacamole, pico de gallo, lettuce and a teeny sprinkling of shredded cheese.
I only had 1 Spark today and this afternoon I had a Biocharge. Tons of water (should say some liquid measurement but I don’t feel like it so…tons) and a sampling of watermelon and it’s off to bed with an herbal cleans and more water.
