Along with the ‘selfie’ phenomenon is the critical view of the practice. I won’t get into that here, but I’m sure we can all agree that we have all read plenty of articles about how annoying the every day selfie taker can be, how the every day selfie person is lacking in self esteem and security and is looking for approval attention from others.
Blah, blah, blah.
Well, I’m here to tell you that you should take selfies. But not just a pic of yourself. Take a selfie of your life. Repeatedly.
Think about it. Often times, the person taking a selfie has to take 3, 4 maybe even 1/2 dozen selfies before they get one in which they like the way they look. Apply that to your life!
Take a mental snapshot of your life. Does it look the way you want it to look? Are you surrounded by the people and lifestyle that you want, need, deserve? Are you happy about how your life looks or does something need to change?
If its not there yet….MAKE THE NEEDED ADJUSTMENTS! Take action and make the portrait of your life look the way it should. Change what you can and look to the help, guidance, wisdom and leadership of others to help change any areas that you don’t know how to change yourself.
But don’t just hit ‘delete.’
